This case study explores a groundbreaking project led by the intersection of biology and technology to create a more ethical, eco-responsible approach to data tracking. By leveraging bioforms—specifically, patterns of mould growth—this project aimed to transcend traditional digital boundaries, offering insights into user behaviour while addressing critical ethical and environmental concerns.

In an era where digital privacy and environmental sustainability are paramount, finding innovative solutions to data tracking without compromising on ethics or ecological impact is crucial. Traditional data collection methods often involve extensive digital tracking, raising privacy concerns and contributing to the massive carbon footprint associated with digital storage and processing. This project was initiated to explore alternative solutions that could mitigate these issues.
